Nicole Jackson

Term Assistant Professor

Nicole Jackson is a doctor in policy, organization, measurement and evaluation. After working as a management consultant and a product and an HR training manager she dedicated her career to research and teaching. She has instructed students at Boston College and the University of California at Berkeley prior to joining the USF School of Management's esteemed faculty in 2012. She also has worked on numerous research projects across these institutions as well as prominent scholars in the field of management and policy including at Carnegie Mellon and New York University.

In her teaching, Dr. Jackson focuses on the topics of organizational behavior, development, theory and change, human resource management, negotiation and leadership. She is dedicated to high academic standards and aims to teach her students how to improve organizational ambidexterity and leadership across for-profit, nonprofit and government institutions.

In her research, Dr. Jackson is interested in the social implications of organizational management and public policy. Her work reflects a unique intersection between managing external demands for organizational improvement practices and understanding how consumer and constituent demands translate to HR functions of hiring and developing ambidextrous employees. Her work has been featured in publications like Organizational Dynamics and the Journal of Business and Economics Research. She is currently exploring the concepts of professional autonomy and principal ambidexterity, as well as the gender and occupational socialization gap in the measurement of innovative cognitive style in business students.
