Kevin Lynch

Mr. Lynch has also made numerous television appearances for local radio stations and has appeared on ESPN. He is nearing completion of his thesis for a Masters degree in sociology from San Jose State University and is a member of the North American Association of Sports Sociologists.Kevin's sports awakening came as a 9-year-old in Los Angeles when his father and older brother told him to quit horsing around and watch Monday Night Football. As an adult, Kevin is either playing sports (golf, tennis, rec league softball and basketball) studying sports as a sociologist, or working in sports as a long-time journalist. For the last 24 years, Kevin has written for several newspapers including the Oakland Tribune, Santa Rosa Press Democrat and San Francisco Chronicle covering mainly the NFL and the San Francisco 49ers. He is also a regular sports talk guest host on KNBR-AM and maintains a blog for at sfgate.com on the 49ers. Kevin has also finished his coursework and his thesis on homosexuality and college football for his Masters degree in sociology at San Jose State and is due to graduate in Spring of 2013. He's also a member of the North American Association of Sports Sociologists.
