Glori Simmons

Glori Simmons, Associate Director of the Mary and Carter Thacher
Gallery at USF, has coordinated well over fifty exhibitions in the
gallery since it opened in 1999. Working with faculty and students,
she seeks ways to make the gallery a laboratory for learning across
the disciplines and within the community. She has enjoyed
collaborating with the Museum Studies I classes to create the
Thacher Art + Architecture Annual, and has taught Exhibition
Practicum and the summer Internship Course for the Department of
Art + Architecture. She holds a MFA in poetry from the University
of Michigan and was a Stegner Fellow in fiction at Stanford
University. Her fiction and poetry has been published in numerous
literary journals; her poetry collection, Graft, was
published by Truman State University Press.
