Kate Elder teaches courses in women's literature, law
and literature, gothic literature, and contemporary literature. She
has won awards for Teaching Excellence from USF and UC Davis. Her
research interests include global cinemas, postmodern ethics, and
the literatures of the Cold War. Her current project focuses on the
representation of torture in contemporary American law and
literature.
