Huda Abu Arqoub was born in
Jerusalem and raised in Hebron. She received her B.A. in Education
and English Literature from Al-Quds Open University and a
Master's degree in Conflict Transformation from Eastern
Mennonite University, where she served as a Fulbright Scholar from
2004-06. Huda is active in grassroots Palestinian initiatives
focusing on issues related to human rights and gender equality, and
is a member of several local Palestinian organizations that work on
empowering women to be more active in building a healthy society.
Through her activities she has worked with organizations such as
Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children International, United
Religions Initiative (URI), and the Boston-based University of the
Middle East Project (UME). She is the Co-Executive Director of
Abraham's Vision and has also worked as an educational
consultant for the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of
Education. Huda is also a Co-Executive Director and Co-Founder of
the Center for Transformative Education.
