Adjunct Professor, graduated from the University of
California, Berkeley, studying pure mathematics and Arabic; he also
privately studied Classical and Modern Standard Arabic with
literary theorists and Semitists. He teaches elementary- and
intermediate-level Arabic at Zaytuna College in Berkeley, and his
academic interests include Arabic etymology and lexicography.
