Diana Rickard received her PhD from the Graduate Center of the
City University of New York. She earned her BA at Bard College. She
has previously taught Criminology and Deviance at Brooklyn College,
and The Body and Society and Crime and Punishment in Documentary
and Feature Film at Baruch College. Professor Rickard is a scholar
of punishment whose research interests include the intersections of
social control and subjective and social identity.
