Catherine Hanrahan, M.A., PPS
Adjunct Faculty
Catherine Hanrahan is an Adjunct Professor at the University
of San Francisco in the Graduate School of Counseling. She received
her B.S. from Northeastern University (Criminal Justice and
Sociology) and her M.A. from the University of San Francisco
(Counseling Psychology). Catherine has been a school counselor with
SFUSD for 13 years. Her interests include mentoring new counselors
and making the National Counseling Standards a reality for all
school counselors. She is a member of the American School
Counselors Association and the California Coalition for Counselor
Licensure. She is also a member of the SFUSD school counselor
advisory board and serves on the board of directors of GLO (Growth
and Learning Opportunities) a private non-profit community based
organization that provides before and afterschool care to seven
public schools in San Francisco. She holds a PPS credential as well
an Administrative Services credential.
