John Micek, III

John Micek is the Managing Director of Silicon Prairie Partners, L.P., a family-owned investment partnership specializing in private equity investments. He has a wide range of experience in a number of industries. After receiving his law degree in 1979, John joined Armanino Foods, a publicly-traded specialty food company (symbol: ARMF), as their General Counsel and CFO. In 1989, John went into private practice with a specialty in corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions. John later joined ENOVA Systems (symbol: ENVA) as their Vice President and Corporate Counsel. ENOVA is a developer and manufacturer of digital power management system for automotive applications.. In 1997, John joined Protozoa, Inc. as their COO. Protozoa was a venture-backed performance animation software and production company specializing in broadcast and Internet applications.
In 1999, John led the negotiations resulting in the sale of a family- owned automobile warranty company to GMACI, a General Motors company. John served on the Board of this GMACI subsidiary until 2004
