Adjunct Professor, Music Program
Paul McWilliams comes from Coatbridge, Scotland and moved to California in October 2000. Prior to joining the USF University Ministry staff in 2008, he was the choral director at Carondolet High School in Concord, CA. Prior to that he served as a music teacher at St. Agnes Elementary School and director of music for St. Bonaventure Parish, in Concord, CA. Paul was educated at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) and Napier College. He was choral director for the British Federation of Young Voices and accompanist for the Royal Scottish Ballet. Having been involved as a church musician since he was very young, he became organist at his local parish when he was 13 years old. Paul serves as associate director for liturgy and music at USF. In this capacity he organizes all major University liturgies, directs the liturgical choir, and oversees interfaith programs and the University Ministry Interfaith Meditation Room
Paul is also Director of Music at St. Augustine's Parish in Oakland.
