Jeremy Reinhold is a pianist and composer living and working in
San Francisco, California. He currently plays piano for San
Francisco Ballet, Shawl-Anderson Dance Center, and San Francisco
State University. In January 2011, he joined the staff of the
University of San Francisco. He has studied music at Berklee
College of Music, Nakas Conservatory, and San Francisco State
University.
His music blurs the line between genres and crosses over from
the familiar to the strange, from lush romanticism to bold
modernity. Jeremy enjoys collaboration in fields outside of music
and has composed for film, theater, and dance. His works have been
premiered by such groups as the Kalistos Chamber Orchestra and the
Esterhazy String Quartet and have been performed across the United
States; in Canada, France, Brazil, and even in international
waters!
Jeremy worked in the education department of the Seattle
Symphony from 2001-2005. He maintains an active interest in arts
education and is dedicated to bringing quality music to young
people.
From 2001-2005, Jeremy composed and performed with the Fremont
Philharmonic and created original music for the Cirque de Flambe,
the Fremont Players, and The Moisture Festival.
As a performer and arranger, Jeremy collaborates regularly with
Brian Vogan, playing sophisticated, silly music for children. In
September 2010, the band played at the Bumbershoot Festival in
Seattle, Washington.
Jeremy has accompanied for ballet classes since 2001, working
with many top choreographers and dancers, including Wade Walthall,
star of the "Nutcracker: The Motion Picture." He has played piano
for classes at San Francisco Ballet, Harvard University, Evergreen
City Ballet, Cornish College of the Arts, and San Francisco State
University, among others.
