Gary Cavalli
Adjunct Professor
Mr. Cavalli is the Executive Director of the Kraft Fight
Hunger Bowl and President of the San Francisco Bowl Game
Association, has a 30-year background in sports management and
communications. He was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer
of the American Basketball League, a women's professional
basketball league. He previously served as Sports Information
Director and Associate Athletic Director at his alma mater,
Stanford University. He has produced national sports programming,
managed NCAA and international championship events, written over
200 newspaper and magazine articles, authored a book on Stanford
Sports, and co-produced an award-winning documentary film on
professional football, "Disposable Heroes." In his current role,
Cavalli is responsible for the overall management of the bowl game,
including team selection, conference affiliations, television and
radio agreements, marketing, and operations. He is also the founder
and President of Cavalli & Associates, a 22-year old marketing
communications firm.
