Dr. Karentz's
research focuses on the ultraviolet photobiology of marine
organisms: identifying strategies for protection from UV exposure
and understanding mechanisms for repair of UV-induced damage. Her
work has focused on investigating the ecological implications of
Antarctic ozone depletion.
