Term Associate Professor

Laurie MacPherson, Term Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, is a greatly admired teacher and academic, joining USF as a faculty member in 1993. Serving as contributing member of the University's MBA and EMBA programs, she teaches applied creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial management in the Bay Area and the People’s Republic of China.

With over fifteen years’ professional experience as a manager in the film and television industry in America, Europe, and Japan, Dr. MacPherson was named the youngest Vice President for Lorimar Productions at MGM Studios.

Specializing in creativity, innovation and management, Professor MacPherson works with students to show them – as one of her course titles suggests – How to be a Game Changer. Dr. MacPherson helps them create innovations for targeted Bay Area companies while personally meeting, pitching, and networking with top corporate executives and entrepreneurs. She believes there is no better place than San Francisco – a city with a long standing tradition of embracing progressive, visionary business – for students with a passion for new ideas, applied innovation and entrepreneurship.
