Linda S Henderson, Ph.D.

Associate Professor

Dr. Henderson worked for many years in senior level consulting positions in project management, organizational development (OD), change management and business process reengineering. She has also managed web-based learning projects. Her clients have included Visa International, Hewlett-Packard, Agilent, Cadence Design Systems, TRW Information Systems, Dell Computers, Blue Shield of California, and Genentech. Globally, she has played key roles in projects in Denmark, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Taiwan.

Linda has presented her research findings at Academy of Management meetings and other professional organizations, and is an editorial board member of the International Journal of Project Organization and Management. She has also served as the founding director of the project management graduate program and co-director of the organizational behavior undergraduate program at USF. Previously, Linda has been on the faculty at The College of William and Mary, California State University Long Beach and San Francisco State University.

Research from Linda's dissertation launched Management Communication Quarterly and served as an impetus to begin integrated and interdisciplinary research in this field. At present, Dr. Henderson is writing a research article on team communication conundrums when working on virtual projects.
