Crisis Referrals

A crisis is ...

  • inflicting or attempting to inflict serious bodily harm to oneself or on another.
  • being unable to provide for own food, clothing, shelter to the extent that death, bodily injury or physical debilitation might result without treatment.
  • attempting suicide or behaving as though you might follow through with verbal threats.
  • mutilating or attempting to mutilate oneself.
  • being acutely distressed by hearing or seeing things which do not exist.
  • expressing serious thoughts about hurting oneself or someone else.
  • experiencing uncontrollable anxiety or anger
  • having a severe reaction to psychiatric medication.

Crisis counseling for mental health emergencies is available. Please inform our office staff if you need to be seen immediately. For after-hours emergencies, call one of the numbers below or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
