Shirley McGuire, President
Shirley McGuire received her Ph.D. at The Pennsylvania State University in 1993 in Human Development and Family Studies. She is a member of the USF Department of Psychology, teaching classes on research methods, child development and family Relationships. Her research focuses on the nature of children's sibling relationships in middle childhood and adolescence. As the Fall 2004 Davies Professor, Dr. McGuire taught a seminar on the modern American family and invited former HRC (Human Rights Campaign) president Elizabeth Birch to USF as a Davies Fellow to discuss family rights. She founded USF LGBTQ Caucus the next year, becoming its first president in January of 2006. Before moving to San Francisco 2001, she volunteered as a support group facilitator at the San Diego LGBT Community Center.

Mouwafac Sidaoui, Communication Director
Mouwafac is native Lebanese and he has been living in the United States for 21 years. Mouwafac received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering & Engineering Management, and a Minor Degree in Mathematics from Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA) in 1990 and 1991 Respectively. He received his Master of Science Administration (MSA) with focus on innovation process from Boston University (Boston, MA) in 1993. Mouwafac is a doctoral candidate in the Organization and Leadership program at the School of Education at University of San Francisco.
Mouwafac Teaches at USF quantitative methods for business, college algebra, statistics, and education technology. Prior to his teaching career, Mouwafac worked in Silicon Valley as a technical consultant in the areas of curriculum development, online solutions, building train-the-trainer programs (TTT), and project management for many large corporations some of which are S1, Learn iT!, The GAP, Hewlett Packard, Cirrus Logic, IDT, and California Department of Health Services - Office of Multicultural Health.
In 1990, Mouwafac was a certified public speaker about AIDS awareness through AIDS Action Committee in Boson MA. From 1998 – 2001, he served as a board member for the board of directors of Harvey Milk Institute in San Francisco CA.

Sara Solloway, Events and Public Relations Co-Director
USF Position: Coordinator of Student Academic Services: College of Arts and Sciences
Sara was active with the LGBT Lavender Cal Faculty/Staff group at UC Berkeley before coming to USF. While at USF, Sara has been a Caucus member and now a board member. Sara enjoys advocating for GLBT issues as well as attending GLBT workshops as she attended the first-ever Catholic College GLBT national conference at Santa Clara University in October of 2005. Sara received her Master's degree in College Student Personnel at Indiana State University in 1995 and a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies at Ball State University in 1993. Prior to coming to the University of San Francisco in June of 2005, Sara has more than 10 years experience as an administrator and advisor at Texas Tech University, Purdue University, and UC Berkeley.

Tami Spector, Budget Director
Tami Spector lives in San Francisco with her partner of 12 years. She received her B.A. from Bard College, her Ph.D. from Dartmouth College, and was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota. Although she teaches primarily organic chemistry she was able to bring her interest in the aesthetics of the body to USF students through the Davies Forum "The Material Body: Medicine, Aesthetics, and American Values in spring 2005". In addition, she has published and presented work on The Molecular Aesthetics of Disease, John Dalton and The Aesthetics of Molecular Representation, and The Visual Image of Chemistry. She has curated a virtual exhibit, "Chemistry in Art" (www.hyle.org/art/cia/index.html) and edited two issues of HYLE: International Journal for Philosophy of Chemistry (www.hyle.org). Most recently she was appointed to the board of Leonardo: Journal of the International Society for the Arts, Sciences, and Technology (http://mitpress2.mit.edu/e-journals/Leonardo/).

Vincent Pizzuto, Outreach Director
Prof. Vincent Pizzuto, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of San Francisco. He has a Masters of Education in Religious Education from Boston College (1995), as well as a Masters (STL) and Doctorate (STD) in New Testament exegesis from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Louvain) in Belgium. Before taking his full time position at the University of San Francisco, he taught part-time at Fordham University in New York, and at both Seton Hall and the College of St. Elizabeth in New Jersey, while completing his doctoral dissertation. Currently in publication is his first book entitled, A Cosmic Leap of Faith: An Authorial, Structural, and Theological Investigation of the Cosmic Christology in Col 1:15-20, as well as a recent article entitled, The Myth of Our Righteousness: The Hijacking of Religion in Global Terror.?
Prof. Pizzuto's theological interests lie in New Testament theology and historical-critical methodology; christology; Trinitarian studies; the Christian mystical tradition; and Celtic Christianity. In addition to his teaching, Prof. Pizzuto lectures in local parishes on areas of prayer and spirituality with particular outreach to the gay and lesbian community.
As the Caucus Director of Outreach, Vincent hopes to make inroads with other LGTBQ organizations in the Bay Area to develop networks of mutual support, shared resources and community building.

Lorrie A. Ranck, Events and Public Relations Co-Director
USF Current position: Director, Office of Living-Learning Communities
Lorrie Ranck an alumni of USF and the University of Wyoming, has earned degrees in English Language Arts Education and in International Multicultural Education. Her academic work and research is primarily focused in first-year/transitional student issues, community building and service learning. Additional areas of interest and research include lesbian gay migration issues and HIV/AIDs advocacy and education.
