Research Participation Opportunity
Queer and Trans Faculty of Color Study: If you identify as queer or transgender faculty of color and are over 18-years-old, we invite you to participate in this research study. The goal of the study is to understand what the experiences are that queer and trans faculty of color have within their academic settings. Become an LGBTQ Allies Program Trainer 2015
The campus LGBTQ Allies program is seeking faculty and staff members interested in being trained as trainers for Allies I and Allies II; three-hour intensive workshops focused on basic knowledge, awareness and skills to be an advocate for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities, including:
- Affects of heterosexual and cisgender privilege, homophobia, and heterosexism
- The language & skills to talk about these issues
- On and off campus resources to support the LGBTQ community
Training for trainers is scheduled for January 8, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. with lunch included. For additional information, or to register, please contact Counseling and Psychological Services at (415) 422-6352.
