GENERAL OBJECTIVE

The purpose of the course is to provide an introduction to the methods and process of meta-analysis.

 SPECIFIC GOALS 

  • know and apply the methods used in meta-analyses of research studies.
  • Know and apply the steps involved in a meta-analysis.
  • Understand and recognize the strengths and weaknesses or advantages and disadvantages of meta-analyses.
  • Analyze and evaluate the validity and reliability of coding of study characteristics in meta-analyses.
