Biotechnology innovation is now driving one-third of the world's economy, and includes such important sectors as pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, bio-fuels, industrial applications, and biodefense. On a social level, the industry is striving to fight the world food crisis, eradicate disease, bring healthcare to developing countries, address global warming, and enable sustainability for the planet. The concentration area is offered on Saturdays, on the San Francisco Campus.

Program Requirements

The MSIS curriculum includes 36 semester units (12 courses). Students must also demonstrate computer proficiency through academic background or professional training.
