Minor in Design

The Minor in Design allows students of different majors to learn introductory visual communication skills that can be applied to their project work in other disciplines. The Minor in Design requires 20 credits, as follows:

Required Courses
  • ART - 120 Art Fundamentals
  • ART - 155 Visual Communication 1
  • ART - 175 Visual Communication 2
After completing ART 120, 155, 175, choose a minimum of 2 electives:
  • ART - 101 Survey of Western Art History 1 or
  • ART - 102 Survey of Western Art History II
  • ART - 205 Typography
  • ART - 252 Publication Design
  • ART - 304 Sustainable Design
  • ART - 301 Design and Social Change Seminar
