The 12-credit Certificate in Asia Pacific Graduate Studies is designed for academics,
professionals, and others who have a need or desire for academic
recognition of their efforts to gain graduate-level knowledge of the
Asia Pacific. CAPS offers an inexpensive and potentially rapid
opportunity for professional and personal development.
The Certificate consists of three 4-credit seminars chosen
from the six substantive seminars in the MAPS curriculum listed above,
plus a culminating research paper demonstrating intellectual integration
of the disciplines studied. Each CAPS student may select just those
seminars which suit their needs or interests and take them in any order
they find convenient over a two-year time span. There is no Asian
language prerequisite or requirement for the Certificate.
