Welcome

To the Website for:
The Office of Student Learning Assurance

The Office of Student Learning Assurance (OSLA) will serve the vital function of overall coordination for Institutional learning measurement projects at USF.

While this site is still being developed please click here for an alternative version, thank you.

The OSLA reports directly to the Senior Vice Provost. In response to the strategic priorities set by the USF Leadership Team, WASC accreditation standards, and the needs of the schools the OSLA directs all learning measurement activities within four main areas: institutional strategic goals, program/service quality and effectiveness, the student/alumni experience, and student learning. The OSLA will take responsibility for informing other divisions of the University of the results and implications of the various learning measurement projects.

In addition the OSLA will assist faculty, staff and administrators in planning, designing, implementing, analyzing and reporting University-wide or more targeted learning measurement efforts. These responsibilities include inter alia, planning, locating or developing tools to met learning measurement needs; offering opportunities for faculty and staff to learn and share learning measurement methods; assisting University offices and its leadership in ensuring that learning measurement results are used effectively for program improvement; and, producing periodic reports on the results of learning measurement efforts. In addition to contributing to university-wide learning measurement efforts, the Director will support schools/colleges or departments in their disciplinary accreditation and other department-based evaluation needs and interact with appropriate members of the University community.
