"Carolyn's project took place as an "experimental" assignment within my Advanced Typography class. I asked each student to develop a novel working process that would disable them from predicting the outcome of their finished project. Carolyn spent many difficult hours working with fire in an enclosed setting to get the effect that appears in her poster.
