Day of Celebration of Students’ Research and Artistic and Scholarly Creative Activity
Each spring the College of Arts and Sciences organizes an annual one-day conference to celebrate the research, artistic, and creative work of its undergraduate and graduate students. It is a great way for students to present the results of their hard work and show their knowledge outside of the classroom.

On Tuesday, April 16th, 2012, the College of Arts and Sciences hosted the 2nd Annual Day of Celebration of Students’ Research and Artistic and Scholarly Creative Activity. Each year the event is held in conjunction with the U.S. Congress-designated, “National Week of Undergraduate Research. “ Typically, this is research conducted by an undergraduate or graduate student in collaboration with a faculty mentor that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline.
This year, the event filled the rooms in McLaren with research posters ranging from music to molecular biology. The event was a wonderful opportunity for students to proudly present the work they had been laboring over for so long.
