- Abrol Fairweather's First-Year Seminar, Ethics and the Blues, had its first incarnation as an Arrupe Immersion course which was written up in the USFMagazine. Students in Abrol's course interview inductees to the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame at their homes and assist the Bay Area Blues Society (BABS) in creating archival material for the Oakland Blues Walk of Fame. BABS recognized the important contribution of USF by awarding USF the “Keepin’ The Blues Alive” award for 2011 at the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame Awards Show.
