STUDIO THEATER on LONE MOUNTAIN:

Once you have gone up the stairs or driven up the Lone Mountain Campus, you will see the Main Entrance in front of you.
To your RIGHT you will see a semi-circle of FLAGS, in front of glass doors. This is the entrance to the STUDIO THEATER.

In the blocks between Fulton St and Golden Gate Ave., there is 2 hour parking before 6pm Monday - Saturday.
After 6pm you can easily park there for a show.
People having special needs that make them unable to climb the steps or aren't coming with a driver to drop them off, please let us know 415-422-2311 or performingarts@usfca.edu  so we can assist you. Allow us a few days to respond to email.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS


Traveling South From the Golden Gate Bridge/North Bay:

After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, stay in the right lane and take the 19th Avenue exit. Turn right on Anza Street, immediately left onto 14th Street, proceed forward to Balboa Street and turn left. Continue on Balboa Street all the way up the hill (Balboa becomes Turk at Arguello) and then turn left onto the ramp between Parker Avenue and Temescal Street just at the USF Lone Mountain Campus sign on your left.

Traveling West From the Bay Bridge/East Bay:
After crossing the Bay Bridge, take the 9th Street/Civic Center exit. Head westbound on Harrison Street for 1 block then turn right onto 9th Street. Once on 9th, stay in the two left lanes and veer left onto Hayes Street. Continue on Hayes for 3 blocks to Franklin Street. Turn right onto Franklin (staying in the left lanes) and proceed 5 blocks to Turk Street. Turn left onto Turk and continue approximately 1 mile to the Lone Mountain Campus which will appear as a large park-like hill on your right after Masonic. Turn right into upward ramp between Parker Avenue and Temescal Street after you have crested the low hill on Turk.

Traveling North From San Jose/South Bay:
Take Highway 101 Northbound. Once in San Francisco, take the 9th Street/Civic Center exit. Head westbound on Harrison Street for 1 block then turn right onto 9th Street. Once on 9th, stay in the two left lanes and veer left onto Hayes Street. Continue on Hayes for 3 blocks to Franklin Street. Traveling North from the Peninsula: Take Highway 280 Northbound. Take the 19th Avenue exit. Stay on 19th Avenue for approximately three miles all the way through the Park. Two blocks after the Park, turn right onto Balboa Street. Continue on Balboa Street all the way up the hill (Balboa becomes Turk at Arguello) and then turn left onto the ramp between Parker Avenue and Temescal Street just at the USF Lone Mountain Campus sign on your left.


PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION DIRECTIONS


By Bay Area Rapid Transit  (BART):

BART will bring you from various points around the Bay Area to the Mission and Market Street corridors. From the 16th Street BART station (at Mission) you can walk two blocks to 18th and Mission and catch the 33 Ashbury bus north to Fulton Street (see below).

From the Embarcadero, Montgomery, or Powell Street BART stations (on Market) you can catch the 31 Balboa or the 5 Fulton buses (see below).

By San Francisco Public Transport  (MUNI):

The 31 Balboa line stops right at the bottom of the grand staircase leading up to the Lone Mountain campus.

The 43 Masonic will get you to the corner of Turk and Masonic, from which it is a short walk past the USF School of Education and up the main driveway to the main Lone Mountain building.

The 33 Stanyan will take you to Fulton and Stanyan from where it is also a short walk two blocks north to Turk and you will see the Lone Mountain campus in up the hill to your right.

The 5 Fulton will take you to Fulton and Parker from where you walk two blocks north to Turk and you will see the Lone Mountain campus in front of you to your right.

The 38 Geary will also bring you within a few blocks (disembark at either Masonic or Parker) and walk south two blocks to Turk from where the campus will be either to your left (from Parker) or your right (from Masonic).
