The Language and Culture Center (LCC) Resource Room, Writing Center, and Classroom are designed to support and supplement the Modern and Classical Languages (MCL) curriculum. Located in Cowell Hall, LCC assists students, tutors, and faculty with media requests, offers writing support and provides 24 classroom computers.
Students, Tutors, and Faculty can direct all technical support inquires and issues about any of the computers in the G02, G24, and G25 to the computer lab technician at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 415.422-5931. Requests for software installations are completed 3-4 weeks prior to the semester starting. Faculty are encouraged to supply the correct license for each work station through their department. Please send your request 1 month in advance so there is time to test the software and update all of the computers and documentation. Please complete these entries starting the first Monday of August and the first Monday of every January for every semester in order to get your classrooms updated and scheduled in Banner.
Free Software Downloads
We offer MCL faculty and students the option to download some of the free software used in the LCC Classroom. Please attend a workshop at the beginning of the semester before you use it on your personal computer.
Additionally, Canvas now supports audio and video recording within the course web browser. You should attend the most recent Canvas training to take advantages of new features.
