Biography

Devon Holmes Associate Professor: Rhetoric and Composition

Professor Holmes received her MA in English with a concentration in Rhetoric from Carnegie Mellon University and her PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English from the University of Arizona. She has taught all levels of college writing, including honors composition and upper-division business writing. Her research explores the ways in which composition studies defines itself as a discipline, with a particular focus on how individuals articulate their identity, authority, and ethos as teachers and scholars of writing.
