Johnnie Johnson Hafernik
Professor and Chair: Communication Studies | English as a Second Language
|
Johnnie Johnson Hafernik, received her B.A in English from Southwest Texas State University; her M.A. in linguistics from Michigan State University; and her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of San Francisco. Her areas of interest include ESL curriculum design and program administration, language education, language policy/planning, and sociolinguistics. Dr. Hafernik is chair of the Department of Communication Studies, is the coordinator of the ESL Program, and teaches courses in ESL, Communication, and in the MA TESL program.
