Biography

  Catherine Brady
Associate Professor: Writing, MFA

Catherine Brady received her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts. She teaches fiction workshops and literature courses in the MFA program at USF and also teaches in the Program in Rhetoric and Composition. Her first collection of short stories, The End of the Class War (Calyx, 1999), was a finalist for the 2000 Western States Book Award. Her second short story collection, Curled in the Bed of Love, is the co-winner of the 2002 Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction and will be published in fall 2003. Her stories have appeared in Other Voices, The Missouri Review, The Kenyon Review, and other little magazines, and she is also the recipient of the 2001 Zoetrope: All Story Short Fiction Prize and the Brenda Ueland Prose Prize.
