Current Announcements
Early registration for the Spring 2013 Semester will begin on November 12. For your advising hold to be removed, you must first submit your degree checkoff form to the Department. Download the ESS Major Checkoff Form (below) and follow these directions:
- Check all courses you have completed or are currently enrolled in.
- Enter "S13" for those classes you plan to take next semester.
- Return the form to us either by email (Kinesiology@usfca.edu) or drop off in the Department.
Your advisor will review your selections, and will either, 1) approve your choices and remove your hold, or 2) contact you to discuss any questions or suggested changes.
If you have questions about course selections, career guidelines, etc. please contact your individual advisor to arrange a meeting.
Academic Grade Requirement
Effective Fall 2010, all coursework for the major must be completed with a final grade of "C" or higher.
New Requirements for a ESS BS degree have been approved effective Spring 2011. Please see the ESS Major Checkoff Form.
Pre-PT Students
For ESS majors who are interested in attending a physical therapy program after graduation, the information in the "Prerequisites" spreadsheet (below) will help you on the path to completing the correct courses for your intended graduate program. This handy tool is updated each semester and is meant to be used in conjunction with your own research and advisement by faculty and the Pre-Professional Health Committee.
Pre-Physical Therapy students will also find it very helpful to check out the American Physical Therapy Association's website for career information, professional development, research, publications, resources, and links to approved graduate programs.
