The Program Assistant is out on vacation beginning May 19, 2014, to June 10, 2014. She will return to the department office on Wednesday, June 11th, and will respond to all inquiries in a timely manner. In her absence, the department office will be closed unless the Student Assistant is working (hours are TBD and subject to change without notice).
If you are a new student to USF and have questions about advising, registration, or general questions about the College of Arts and Sciences, please contact the Center for Academic and Student Achievement (CASA). They will be able to immediately assist you. Their phone number is (415) 422-5050; their e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. CASA is located at the University Center, 3rd floor.
New students, if you have specific questions about the Communication Studies major program, please visit our department website: http://www.usfca.edu/artsci/coms/. Many questions you have can be answered on our Advising FAQs page of our site: http://www.usfca.edu/artsci/coms/advising-faqs/. Webtrack advising, USF's online advising and registration tutorial, will assist you with registration. A COMS faculty advisor will work with you this summer (between June 9 - June 19) on your first semester class schedule. All questions will also be answered at the Fall Orientation to Your Major (so don't fret!).
For further inquiries that can't be addressed by the aforementioned resources, please contact the COMS Department Chair, Professor Marco Jacquemet. His email is email@example.com.
