To help you apply, we’ve compiled this list to make sure you
send in everything to complete an application for admission. Be sure to read
through our application instructions for more

Complete the online USF application or Common Application as carefully and accurately
as possible. Application fee payments should be mailed to USF to the attention of the Office of Admission.
For the USF application ONLY (Not Common Application), a 1-2 page essay about yourself that tells
us how you will help the University to carry out its mission may be sent electronically to
appservices@usfca.edu or by mail. Be sure to include your name and date
of birth in the email text.
One letter of recommendation and recommendation form must be sent directly from the
person writing the letter or with your application in a sealed envelope. Please
make sure your name and date of birth are on the letter.
Freshmen: For Early Action applicants, official high school transcripts
should be sent on or before November 15. If you are a Regular Action applicant,
submit your transcripts on or before January 15. You must include your fall
semester grades from your senior year.
Transfers: Submit transcripts from all colleges attended. You also must
submit transcripts from your high school if you have fewer than 24 transferable
semester credits or 36 transferable quarter credits.
This important form is for freshman applicants applying under Regular Action only
and must be sent as soon as fall semester grades are available if they are not included
on your official transcript.
The University of San Francisco requires official SAT or ACT scores. These may come directly from the testing
service or from your official high school transcript. Transfer applicants with more
than 24 transferable semester credits or 36 transferable quarter credits are not
required to submit test results. USF does not require SAT II subject tests.
International Applicants: Non-native speakers of English are required to
submit official results of either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL),
the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or the Pearson Test of
English Academic (PTE Academic).
