
Honors Program in Psychology
Description of the Program
A two-course sequence for high achieving and highly motivated psychology majors that will give them hands-on experience in generating, conducting, analyzing and communicating the results of empirical psychological research.
Eligibility:
- GPA in psychology and overall of at least 3.5 (no units)
- completed Advanced Research Methods (PSYC 388)
- application letter and/or approval of instructor
Requirements:
- PSYC 498 (4 units) Thesis Development Seminar (Spring, junior year) Proposal development and IRB application
- Psych 499 (4 units) Honors Thesis Seminar (Fall, senior year) Data gathering and thesis writing
- Oral presentation (Spring, senior year)
All Psychology students may apply for participation in the Honors Program in the Humanities.
