The USF New Venture Center works to advance Entrepreneurship education and innovation among the USF School of Business and Management Students, Faculty, Alumni, and the San Francisco Bay Area Community. The Center seeks to be a lynch pin in supporting the entrepreneurial efforts of our alumni and the local business community. The Center also seeks to support the USF Mission by focusing on entrepreneurial and innovative efforts, which serve the community, especially those who are in need.

Activities

The Center seeks to advance:

1. Entrepreneurial education among our graduate and undergraduate students through:
   • international business plan competition which attracts students from universities around the world
   • entrepreneurial research services
   • guest entrepreneurial seminars
   • hands on experience with local inner-city business development efforts
2. Entrepreneurial efforts among our students, alumni, and local community by
   • providing expert support services and research
   • identifying capital resources (providing introductions to network of VCs and angels)
   • linking innovation and technology efforts with a network of Silicon Valley sources
   • leveraging access to local and untapped capability in the local inner city
   • offering classes on topics of interest to aspiring entrepreneurs
3. Local corporate and capital concerns with access to student interns, faculty consulting and research efforts and technological innovation.
