Tuition Payment Information
Payment Options
The payment options described below refer to the balance that students are required to pay the University of San Francisco after all eligible financial aid (any University of San Francisco administered loans, grants, or scholarships) has been deducted from their college bill.
Payment in Full
Pre-registered students are expected to pay all tuition, housing charges, and fees no later than the payment due date for the appropriate semester.
- Summer Semester - First Week in May
- Fall Semester - First Week in August
- Spring Semester - First Week in January
For actual dates, please consult the appropriate schedule of classes. If payment in full is not received by the payment due date for the semester, the University will automatically enroll the student in the 4-Month Payment Plan.
4-Month Payment Plan
The 4-Month Payment Plan is designed to enable students and parents to pay educational expenses through regularly scheduled payments. Educational expenses include tuition, room and board, and mandatory fees. Books, transportation, and other miscellaneous expenses are not included in this plan. The 4-Month Payment Plan is available to all students for the Summer, Fall, and Spring Semesters. There is no payment plan available for the Intersession Semester. A $50 enrollment fee is charged per semester. To enroll in the Payment Plan, complete the Payment Plan Worksheet on-line at www.usfca.edu/bursar/pay-plan/index.html.
4-Month Payment Plan Due Dates
- Summer Semester - May 1st through August 1st
- Fall Semester - September 1st through December 1st
- Spring Semester - January 1st through April 1st
Third-Party Billing
USF offers third-party billing, or special billing, to students whose employer or other outside agency will pay their tuition and/or fees and expenses. Students reimbursed directly are not eligible for special billing. Payments contingent upon completion of class or grade posting are also not eligible for special billing.
Students must submit vouchers or authorizations to the University prior to the payment due date for each term. If a voucher is not received, the student must remit payment in full on the scheduled payment due date(s).
