Suggestions for Syllabi Statements

  • I encourage students with disabilities, including ‘invisible’ disabilities like chronic diseases and learning disabilities, to discuss with me after class or during my office hours appropriate accommodations that might be helpful to them.
  • If you have a disability and feel that you need accommodation to complete this course successfully, please talk to the instructor as soon as possible.
  • If you require accommodations for a verified disability, you must present documentation form the Student Disability Services complete with type of accommodation, ideally by the second week of class. I am available to discuss appropriate academic accommodations as determined by SDS that may be required for you.
  • I would be pleased to discuss any disability-related need during my office hours
