Classroom Technology Levels
- Level 1: Presentation Classroom
These laptop-ready or "plug & play" classrooms provide wired network access and projection for the presenter. Rooms also provide wireless Internet access, a DVD/VHS player, speakers with volume control, a wireless remote, and adjustable lighting.
- Level 1+: Presentation Classroom
These classrooms provide wired network access, a Dell PC laptop, and projection
for the presenter. Most rooms also provide wireless Internet access, a DVD/VHS
player, speakers with volume control, a wireless remote for presentations, and
adjustable lighting. Cables are also provided for Faculty who prefer to use
their own laptops for presentations.
- Level 2: Multimedia Presentation Classroom
These rooms provide all Level 1 functionality, plus a podium with installed PC
and, in many rooms, Mac computers. Cables are also provided for Faculty who
prefer to use their own laptops for presentations.
- Level 3: Multimedia Presentation Classroom with Video
These rooms provide at least Level 1 functionality, plus video recording
capability.
- Level 4: Collaborative/Demonstration Classroom
These lab-style classrooms provide at least Level 1 functionality, plus networked desktop or laptop computers for each station in the classroom.
- Level 5: Distance Delivery Classroom
These video conferencing rooms provide at least Level 1 functionality, plus video conferencing capabilities.
