Honors at Commencement

University Honors are awarded ONLY TO UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS who complete at least 60 graded units at USF and earn a grade point average of at least 3.50.

• 3.85 for Summa Cum Laude;
• 3.75 for Magna Cum Laude;
• 3.50 for Cum Laude.

Computation of grade point averages for the purpose of determining University Honors is accomplished by rounding up to the nearest one-hundredth of a grade point. To be recognized for University Honors at commencement, you must meet these criteria and you must have completed or be enrolled in all courses required for your degree.

College of Professional Studies – College Honors are awarded ONLY TO UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.90 in courses taken at USF. Computation of grade point averages for the purpose of determining College Honors is accomplished by rounding up to the nearest one-hundredth of a grade point. To be recognized for College Honors at commencement, you must meet these criteria and you must have completed or be enrolled in all courses required for your degree.

School of Nursing – School Honors are awarded ONLY TO UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.90 in courses taken at USF. Computation of grade point averages for the purpose of determining School Honors is accomplished by rounding up to the nearest one-hundredth of a grade point. To be recognized for School Honors at commencement, you must meet these criteria and you must have completed or be enrolled in all courses required for your degree.
