Graduation and Commencement

Commencement Ceremonies are held twice a year in St. Ignatius Church, located at 650 Parker Avenue in San Francisco. Once in May for spring and summer candidates and once in December for fall and intercession candidates. Ceremonies are approximately 1 hour long and guest tickets are required for all Commencement Ceremonies. For detail information on a specific ceremony, please click on the links provided.

• Students initiate the graduation process by taking the online Graduating Student Survey and completing the online Graduation Application Form. Candidates who file an Application for Graduation form will be notified seven to eight weeks prior to the ceremonies in writing of their eligibility to attend the Grad Finale event and the Commencement Ceremonies.
  
  
Graduation Application Deadlines:
• December Commencement - file by September 1st
• May Commencement - file by February 1st (including summer students)
  
  PLEASE NOTE: STUDENTS ONLY NEED TO FILE ONCE. If you have already submitted an application for graduation, you do not need to submit another application. Any personal changes (e.g.: change of address, etc.) can be made on www.connect.usfca.edu or contact the Graduation Center.

• The Grad Finale event is six weeks before the ceremonies and by invitation only (the eligibility letter) for candidates. At the Grad Finale candidates obtain their academic regalia, GUEST TICKETS, and an information packet that includes general instructions, a parking permit, directions to the ceremony, and a host of additional information. • Commencement Photos are taken by BobKnight Photo (Official Commencement Photographer). Information on ordering photos is included with the information packet or by contacting BobKnight Photo at (800) 628- 4509 or BobKnight Photo.
