USF and the city

About This Site

Welcome to the new

The University of San Francisco website represents the result of months of work, discussion and community review. Our goal in redesigning the site was to update its look and feel; to make its code more accessible and standards-compliant; and to better reflect the University's position as a center of leadership and academic innovation in one of the world's most plugged-in cities. We're excited with the final result and look forward to your feedback.

Our redesigned site communicates USF's key messages, as articulated in the 2028 Planning Document, more directly and effectively. While the last version of our site contained information about USF's vision, mission, values, and key attributes, the new site's "About USF" section explores each of USF's primary strengths in depth— from our higher standard of academic excellence to our San Francisco location to our passion for justice to our Jesuit values. Our goal has been to make these strengths into more than bullet points— to communicate USF's values by showing, not just telling.

The new was designed by White Whale Web Services, in collaboration with USF's Web Redesign Working Group Committee and students, faculty and staff across campus. It was implemented by USF's Office of Web Communcations and Services using a new content management system, Ektron, which will enable content managers all over campus (and across all of USF's branch campuses as well) to maintain their sites more easily and efficiently.
