University Ministry Retreats are
offered throughout the year and vary from one day to one weekend depending on
the nature and intent of the retreat. Most retreats take place during a weekend
and offer time for reflection, rest, and rejuvenation. The intention of the
University Ministry Retreat Program is to develop spiritual leadership and
create sacred spaces and opportunities for the USF and extended community to
become reflective, spiritually attentive, engaged, rejuvenated, and active.
Retreats:
The first week retreat for faculty and
staff will be on September 7, 2012 at the Jesuit Retreat Center in
Los Altos. Four faculty and staff and two leaders participated in this
retreat which is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
The 19th Annotation Retreat of Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius: A Retreat for Busy People is a a retreat that is open for faculty, staff, and graduate students, they meet weekly with a spiritual director.
Date & Time: Starts on September 13, 2012
The Fall Ignatian Spirituality Seminar: Inner Compass by Margaret Silf was a retreat that was open to faculty and staff, they met weekly to discuss the book, Inner Compass. The next Ignatian Spirituality Seminar will start on September 12, 2012.
This was an opportunity for 15 new students to meet other students and to be introduced to USF through discussions and nature activities in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Los Gatos. The retreat is on September 8, 012

A retreat open to women and addresses the experience of women and women’s spirituality.
Program Date/time: February 23, 2013 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location: Spiritual Life Center - St. Agnes
Cost: $20
On October 22, five participants joined our two retreat leaders for an outdoor retreat which included a hike and mass on Mount Tamalpais.
The next Men's Retreat will be on October 27, 2013.

- The Kairos retreat is open to any student who has not made a previous Kairos retreat at USF. The retreat is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. The weekend is a time to explore one’s sense of self and of one’s relationships, as well as a time for growth, connection and transformation by reflecting on identity, relationship with God, the question of love, brokenness and healing and how to live after Kairos. The retreat is led by students who previously have made the Kairos retreat.

Rereat
- The Fourth Day retreat is an opportunity for junior and senior students who have previously attended Kairos to experience a deeper understanding of the Kairos themes. Students will reflect on awakening of the spirit of the Fourth Day and making the most of their remaining semesters at USF. Cost: $75

An opportunity for members of the USF community to take time out of their busy schedule to reflect on the holiday season. Open to everyone - Date: TBA
A one-day retreat based on the book, Hearts on Fire, which introduces retreatants to Ignatian reflection and spirituality. Date: February 2 from 9 am to 4 pm.
The Spring Ignatian Spirituality Seminar: Already there - Mark Mossa, SJ : A Retreat open to faculty and staff, they meet weekly to discuss the book Already There
Date & Time : Wednesdays Starting at February 6, 2013 at noon.
An Ignatian retreat held during Spring Break during Spring Break open to all

The University Ministry is offering an Ignatian Half-Day Retreat for Faculty and Staff. The retreat is an opportunity to take time out from your busy schedule to reflect on the season and to be introduced to Ignatian values and spirituality. The Half-day includes two presentations, each being 10 to 15 minutes in length, as well as an opportunity for private reflection and group conversations. Lunch will be provided.
The Fall Ignatian retreat will be on November 30, 2012. The Spring Ignatian retreat will take place on April 26, 2013 from 11:00 am to 2:00pm.
An opportunity for graduating seniors to look back at their USF experience as well as reflecting on the present and the future.
