Earning a Second Bachelor's Degree

Students who wish to pursue a second bachelor's degree at the University of San Francisco share the same admission requirements as those established for traditional transfer students. Admitted second-degree candidates will have most of the Core Curriculum requirements waived, with the exception of Philosophy, Theology, Ethics and Service Learning. Students that have completed their first degree outside of the United States will be required to complete a Rhetoric and Composition course.

While there is no limit to the number of transfer credits we accept from a first bachelor’s degree, all students must satisfactorily complete at least 44 credit hours at USF. Additionally, all students must satisfactorily complete their last 30 credits hours, and a minimum of 16 upper division credit hours in their major at USF.
