Hello! My name is
Bhavi Patel and I am one of the Admissions Counselors / University Evaluators
in the Transfer Center here at USF. I'm excited that you are considering USF to
continue your education! I came to USF from the Foothill-DeAnza Community
College district where I worked in various departments (including the Transfer
Center at De Anza) over the past 4 years.
USF welcomes transfer students from all walks of life as they bring diverse
perspectives to the campus. You will find the USF community to be diverse,
inclusive, supportive and vibrant. The University's location in the heart of
San Francisco offers numerous opportunities to combine your classroom learning
with practical experiences through internships, service learning, field trips and
more! And with our small class sizes, you will find a learning environment with
more individualized attention, where the professor knows you by name and where
you can engage in meaningful discussions with faculty and peers.
I would strongly encourage you to come visit the campus and look through the
course catalog as you will find many unique programs that encompass the
university's values of social justice, community service and a global
perspective. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any question or
concerns or if I can be of help throughout your transfer journey. I look
forward to meeting many of you at the your College's Transfer Fairs or here on
our beautiful campus and hopefully welcoming you as a future Don!
Wishing you all the best,
Bhavi Patel |
