Undergraduate Population

Our current retention reports track a specific cohort of degree-seeking undergraduate from their first to second year, broken down by different student-level and institutional-level characteristics. 

Freshman

USF has continually maintained their persistence of degree-seeking full-time, first-time Freshman (FTF) cohort from the first year to their second in the 80th percentile. For example, the Fall 2012 Cohort, we reported a 87% retention rate. 

Persistence into 2nd Year

Persistence to 2nd Year by cohort (all)

Persistence into the third year of school for full-time, degree-seeking FTF have typically oscillated in the low to high 70th percentile, up until our most recent cohort in Fall 2011. For the Fall 2011 Cohort, persistence of degree-seeking full-time, first-time Freshman (FTF) cohort to their third year is at 81%.

These reports entail the persistence of degree-seeking Full-time, First-Time Transfer cohorts from their first year at USF to their second. The PDFs are arranged by Cohort Year.
