Highlights Archive

Trustees Emeriti/ae are an integral part of our extended USF community. After service on the Board of Trustees, these accomplished individuals continue to thrive and contribute to the greater community. Many garner unprecedented national and international recognition. Here are some highlights:

Chuck and Nan Geschke 94x125 Dr. Charles M. Geschke (1990-2002) (2003-2008)
Chuck and Nan Geschke received the 2012 St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award on October 1, 2012 for their work through the Charles M. and Nancy A. Geschke Foundation to underscore the importance of the well-being of our nation's youth and keeping Catholic schools vital and available for the next generation.

Fr. Phil Boroughs is installed as the 32nd President of Holy Cross.

Fr. John Fitzgibbons was inaugurated as president of Regis University in September 2012.
   
Jonsen 94x125  Dr. Albert R. Jonsen (Ex-officio: 1969-1972)
Albert R. Jonsen, PhD, senior ethics scholar-in-residence at the California Pacific Medical Center’s Program in Medicine and Human Values, is one of the founders of the field of bioethics. His colleagues honorrf his vast knowledge, high integrity, and irreplaceable experience with a Bioethics Symposium, a round table with the founding figures in Bioethics, on October 10, 2012, San Francisco. 
   
O'Leary SJ 94x125 Rev. Patrick O'Leary, S.J. (2001-2010)
Recently, the Board of Trustees of Seattle University voted to award The Saint Ignatius Medal for 2012 to Pat O'Leary, S.J. The medal will be presented to him at the Gala on November 3rd.

Dr. Charles M. Geschke, chairman of the board and co-founder of Adobe Systems, Inc., delivered the commencement speech and received an honorary doctorate at John Carroll University's commencement on Sunday, May 20, 2012.

Rev. Michael Sheeran, SJ (1985-1994) (2001-2010)
Fr. Sheeran accepted an honorary degree and delivered the commencement address to graduate students in the School of Management on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Saint Ignatius Church.
