Michael Harrington, Associate Vice Provost
Michael first came to USF in 1991 working for the Fromm Institute for Lifelong Learning, eventually becoming its Assistant Director. In 1996 he joined the Office of Planning and Budget as Financial Analyst and, after several promotions, became Budget Director in 2003. In January of 2013, Michael was promoted to Associate Vice Provost of Planning and Budget. Michael received his MBA with an emphasis in Finance from the McLaren School of Business at the University of San Francisco in 2000 and taught Data Analysis in the MBA program as an adjunct faculty member.
Sharon Li, Senior Budget Analyst
Sharon joined the University of San Francisco's Office of Planning and Budget in March, 2011. She works on position budgeting and control, reporting, and ad hoc projects. She received her MBA from Santa Clara University. Previously, she worked as a management trainee at Maersk, a Denmark based shipping and logistics company, in areas such as supply chain management, operations, and sales.
Jimmy Lau, Hyperion Administrator
Jimmy joined the University of San Francisco's Office of Planning and Budget in September, 2009. As a Financial Analyst, he works on data resources, budget adjustments, reporting, and ad hoc projects. Previously, he worked as a Financial Analyst at Macy’s Inc., where he was responsible for financial planning, budgeting and analysis in advertising, special services, and special events. He received a B.S. in Accounting from San Francisco State University and his MBA from USF.
Sean Matthews, Financial Analyst
Sean is a resource for financial information to assist in university, college, and program planning. Some of the functions he helps to support include developing business intelligence reports, college and program financial profiles, new academic program financial requests, and the university operating budget. He joined the Office of Planning and Budget in October, 2013 and his professional background consists of working in accounting and business
operations roles in the technology, consulting, and real estate industries. He holds
a Bachelors of Science from the University of Florida in Education and
has pursued coursework in accounting and computer science.
