The University of San Francisco School of Law has been named
one of the most diverse law schools by The National Jurist magazine.
By building diverse student bodies, law schools provide
students with greater opportunities and an educational experience that is more
reflective of the world, The National Jurist said.
The magazine recently featured 45 schools with a large
number of minority students and faculty in its “Diversity Honor Roll.” The USF
School of Law ranked number 12 for percentage of minority faculty.
“The reality is that the demographics of the country mean
you can no longer have a good legal education that is not a diverse legal
education,” said School of Law Dean Jeffrey Brand, who was quoted in the
magazine in response to the recognition.
