Tim Wise, author of the acclaimed memoir "White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son" is scheduled to speak at the University of San Francisco on Feb. 26.

He will discuss a central theme of his 2010 book "Colorblind: The Rise of Post-Racial Politics and the Retreat from Racial Equity," arguing for deeper color-consciousness in both public and private practice.

Wise was named one of "25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World" by Utne Reader magazine. The event is sponsored by USF's Office of Diversity and Community Outreach.
